LISTENING TIDE
Listening Tide reflects the quiet rhythm found in nature’s continuous movement. Layered circular gestures echo the ebb and flow of water, suggesting that every moment carries the memory of those before it. Built through intuitive mark-making and a restrained palette, the composition balances spontaneity with stillness.
Rather than describing a place, the work offers a space for reflection, inviting the viewer to slow down and experience movement as something gentle, patient and enduring. The painting embraces the Japanese principles of wu wei and shibui, allowing simplicity and restraint to reveal a deeper sense of presence.
Haiku
The river listens,
Every turning finds its way,
Silence moves first.
