About

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to things that have lived.
A weathered surface.
A carefully engineered object.
A worn piece of paper carrying marks from another time.
They remind me that beauty is not something added. It is something revealed through use, patience and time.
Making has taught me to look more slowly.
Over the years my work has evolved from observing the outward energy of mechanical forms towards something quieter and more personal. Today I find myself exploring the spaces between movement and stillness, structure and intuition, memory and presence.
Every piece begins in the same way.
Not with an answer, but with curiosity.
I enjoy the conversation between materials; the weight of aluminium, the softness of handmade paper, the honesty of wood, the rhythm of paint finding its own place on the surface. Each mark informs the next until the work begins to suggest its own direction.
I have learned to trust that process.
Rather than searching for perfection, I look for balance. Rather than filling every space, I have become increasingly interested in what can be achieved through restraint. Often it is the quietest passages that carry the greatest presence.
Each collection is part of the same continuing conversation. Some are inspired by engineering, others by memory, geometry or the landscape, yet all are shaped by the same desire: to create work that feels calm, thoughtful and enduring.
If these pieces encourage you to pause for a moment, to look a little longer, or to discover something new each time you return to them, then they have already begun the conversation I hoped they might.
Thank you for spending time with the work.
