PAPER SIGNAL

Paper Signal explores the idea of information passing through layers — received, interrupted and altered as it moves.

Repeated hand-cut forms travel across a circular field of graph paper, found fragments and handmade paper. Their rhythm suggests a visual code or transmission, partially revealed and partially obscured as one layer passes across another.

Against the restraint of the surrounding surface, the vivid green acts as a signal — immediate and contemporary — while torn edges, exposed grids and irregular fragments retain evidence of touch, time and previous use.

The work considers memory as a form of transmission: something carried forward, never received quite as it began.

Something passes through. Something remains.

Haiku

Signals cross the page.
Fragments carry what remains—
green breaks through the quiet.
