HAZAN MOTORWORKS VINCENT

Hazan Motorworks Vincent explores the motorcycle as both engineered object and drawing in motion.

The custom-built Vincent emerges through a network of exposed lines, mechanical forms and fragmented gestures, its distinctive construction held momentarily against a field of horizontal movement. Rather than separating the machine from its surroundings, marks travel through and beyond it, allowing figure and ground to continually exchange places.

The restrained palette shifts attention towards the craftsmanship and structure of the Hazan Motorworks build: wheels become circles in motion, frame members become drawn lines, and the engine forms a dense mechanical centre from which the composition expands.

There is precision within the work, but also instability. The motorcycle appears simultaneously assembled and dissolving — caught between the physical presence of the machine and the energy required to propel it forward.

Engineering becoming gesture.
