BETWEEN LIGHT AND SILENCE 02
Between Light and Silence 02 continues the exploration of boundaries between constructed space and the natural world. Here, the opening becomes more pronounced, creating a central passage through the layered surface and allowing the image beneath to occupy a greater presence within the work.
Laser-etched handmade paper carries fragmented traces of komorebi — sunlight passing through leaves — its shifting forms held within the more deliberate geometry of the surrounding structure. The contrast between the softness of the image and the physical edges of plywood and torn paper creates a conversation between permanence and transience.
Rather than containing the landscape, the structure becomes a way of encountering it. What appears through the opening is incomplete and fleeting, asking the viewer to imagine what continues beyond the visible surface.
The opening does not contain the light. It allows it through.

Through the quiet wall,
light remembers moving leaves—
outside enters in.
